This is a blog about growing up, I suppose.

Fitness and Wellness in the New Year

Hi all!  I haven’t done a post about health and wellness in awhile.

I weighed in at 116 today.  So I won’t quite make my goal of 115 by 2/6, but I think that’s alright.  But, I’m not too far off and I should be there by sometime at the end of this week.  I worked out really hard for the past couple of days and I feel good about my progress.

I’m starting to see more muscle!  It’s really cool to watch my body transform.  I’ve been watching the inches melt off and the muscle building, starting at my calves and going up the rest of my legs.  Of course, my inner thigh fat will be the last to go but that’s ok.  My body is still getting stronger every day.

I’ve really been struggling with my weight loss, in terms of others’ perceptions and reactions.  (This has been an especially sore subject with my roommates.)  I’ve been pretty grumpy about it — sorry about that…  I realize that I made resolutions this year to be healthier in body and mind.  I can’t change their minds, but I can just stop talking to them about it.  I don’t need to needlessly encourage negativity.  I just want to fill my mind with lots of positivity about weight loss and fitness.  That starts today.

Also, that being said, I could probably stand to be a little more positive about my life overall.  I might start keeping a positivity journal — something where I write down all the good things that happened that day.

Also, this is a shameless plug… but if you have a My Fitness Pal account, then add me as a friend (lemiller09) or leave your username in my ask box?
